originally from Skaraborg, is a Stockholm-based artist. She received her MFA from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in the spring of 2020.
Liljebäck’s practice moves fluidly across genres, centering on women’s histories within the domestic sphere—stories from everyday life that have long been excluded from official historical narratives. Her work is both a political investigation into who and what is granted space, and a reflection on contemporary society and the inherited legacies of womanhood. By unfolding the private and the everyday into public view, she makes the invisible visible.
Working primarily with traditionally female craft techniques, Liljebäck applies them to both expected and unconventional materials, exploring structures, roles, and rituals embedded in the ordinary.
